Hernando Amaya-Moreno

With twenty-seven years of as a journalist for private, public, and independent mass media,  Hernando Amaya-Moreno, brought a plethora of international experience to share with young writers.  In 2007, Amaya-Moreno was awarded "Journalist of the Year" by the Nevada Small Business Association.  However, his writing achievements span his career, including  award recognition from the US Hispanic Press National Association for " Yucca, Continúa la Controversia”  and television interview of David Copperfield in 2005, and being awarded the Simon Bolivar journalist award in 1986.

 

Hernando Amaya-Moreno currently writes for the Las Vegas Review-Journal and El Tiempo for the "En Profundo" section, which includes international, national, and local issues that affect the Hispanic community in Las Vegas.  Mr. Amaya-Moreno can also be seen on a weekly news section on Univision 15 Television in Las Vegas.
